Brand recognition and other reactions are created by the use of the product or service and through the influence of advertising, design, and media commentary. A brand is a symbolic embodiment of all the information connected to the product and serves to create associations and expectations around it. A brand often includes a logo, fonts, color schemes, symbols, and sound, which may be developed to represent implicit values, ideas, and even personality.

News is any new information or information on current events which is relayed by print, broadcast, Internet, or word of mouth to a third party or mass audience. The reporting and investigation of news falls within the profession of journalism. News is often reported by a variety of sources, such as newspapers, television, and radio programs, wire services, and web sites.
The birth of Brand Newz?
The name “Brand Newz” derives from the concept of a new brand of news. According to host and lead anchor, Christopher “Play” Martin “There’s as much good news as there is bad news to air about our communities, but the present mass media infrastructure has skewed reporting to disproportionately highlight negative activity in certain sectors of society.
