Brittany B

Brittany BBorn in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brittany Benson grew up in Charlotte, NC and claims the Queen City as home. While studying Mass Communications and Broadcasting at North Carolina Central University, Brittany saw an increasing need for a fresh way to communicate with her student body. In 2004, she teamed up with the campus radio station, Audionet, and deejayed her first radio show “Late Nite with Brittany B.” The 10PM-1AM time slot proved successful and launched “Brittany B.” into the campus spotlight.

During the height of her rising popularity, Brittany was involved in a terrible car accident, forcing her to replace her radio show with daily physical theraphy sessions. “Faith and determination helped me through my most difficult times” Benson states, after almost two years of recovery. She adds “I finally made up my mind that I had to continue to press forward to reach my dreams.” Amidst Internet explosion in 2005 fall of 2006, MySpace and FaceBook and “On the Yard with Brittany B. which launched with the help of online community YouTube.

r 10,000 views later, Brittany B. and “On The Yard” has been recognized by students, faculty, administrators and the community as a great communication tool, always highlighting the positive things people do. Brittany has developed her on company, BMB Communications, to expand her vision and strengthen her message. The future looks bright for Brittany B.
