Finish Flags.png

They say...

"Nice guys finish last".

But God says...

"The first shall be last and the last shall be first!"

Don’t allow the disappointment sometimes heartbreak of how someone refused, dismissed or misused your kindness detour future acts. Unfortunately today’s social climate doesn’t much encourage and support love, respect, integrity and old fashion nice, but for my fellow Brothers & Sisters who do! This is for you....
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Appearances, Images & Reality

We grew up on the story of Samson & Delilah with the image that he was unusually muscular. But birthed out of a very interesting question a personal revelation took place. If he actually looked so diesel why would his enemies constantly ask and want to know “Where does his strength come from?” And go to such great lengths to know.... it would be obvious with huge muscles.

That opened up a sobering place for me on multiple levels. I now believe Samson was a very normal looking man, maybe even thinner than most. That’s God’s MO....... Our God puts His extra on our ordinary and His super on our natural!

I believe we miss and at times loose great opportunities and people because they don’t meet our expectations in the way a person and, or opportunity should look due to years of mental programming in regards to what ‘perfect’ should look like or what our feelings feel. He tells us to beware of our feelings. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

I was gratefully reminded 2 mornings ago in my study & worship time about the growth process of trees and how similar it is to faith. Faith when it comes to how frustrating it can be when you're pregnant with a idea, vision, persons, places and things. We don't realize or forget it all begins with a seed: the acquisition of it, the sowing of it and nurturing of it. But the most important part of the process cannot be seen and it takes the longest and feels like forever!
Roots of trees that are the strongest and live the longest are several times longer than what eventually grows above ground. BUT it's also the dirtiest and most unattractive part of the process that takes place underneath. Like that, our Father is doing the most important things we cannot see within us and out in order for our goals to be strong and can endure any circumstance. (Remember we were made from the earth too.) So as we continue to believe in what God has given us and as we're going through the frustrating patience it takes for our fruit to rise, appear and be celebrated.
